About this listing
Up for grabs is a discontinued MXR Custom Shop CSP203 La Machine Octave Fuzz pedal in great condition. If you are looking for that thick, heavy, 1970s hard rock and garage rock vibe, this is it. The La Machine is a pure analog fuzz circuit based on the legendary vintage Foxx Tone Machine, letting you toggle between a massive, raw standalone fuzz and a piercing, searing octave-up scream at the push of a button.IMPORTANT NOTE ON VINTAGE ANALOG TRACKING: Please note that this pedal is 100% fully functional and operating exactly as MXR designed it. Because this is a purely analog, vintage-style octave circuit, it does not use digital computer tracking like a modern pitch shifter. The octave mode is intentionally raw, monophonic, wild, and glitchy! For the absolute best results (and to make it scream like Jimi Hendrix or Queens of the Stone Age), use your guitar's neck pickup, roll the guitar's tone knob down slightly, and play single notes above the 12th fret. Trying to play full chords on a bridge pickup with the octave engaged will result in a beautifully chaotic, sputtering wall of sonic destruction!Condition:Functional: 100% perfect. Switches engage cleanly, the dual LED indicators are bright, and the pots turn smoothly without any scratchy noise.Cosmetic: In very clean shape with gorgeous purple sparkle paint shine. Minor superficial wear from normal pedalboard handling (please review photos for exact cosmetic state).Get a killer, discontinued piece of MXR Custom Shop history for your pedalboard. Will be packed securely with professional care and shipped promptly with tracking and insurance.
