Visually, the pedal remains true to the original, but technically the circuit has been extensively revised. A 3-way mini-switch allows you to choose between Original Silicon, Lift Mode and Asym Mode, allowing you to vary the distortion behavior significantly - from classic compact to open and dynamic response. In addition, the 250 X supports operation with 9, 12 or 18 volts, which enables further headroom and gain fine-tuning. This makes the pedal suitable both as a classic Boost and as a stand-alone Overdrive with vintage character.
