T-Rex Comp-Nova, from my personal collection and in excellent condition. T-Rex built this compressor after testing what was already on the market and deciding none of them had the tone they wanted — so the Comp-Nova is all about natural, transparent compression that doesn't color your sound. It's a "studio"-style compressor rather than an obvious "effect" one: no pumping, no squash — just smoother dynamics, added sustain and a touch of chime, while keeping your tone intact. Excellent on guitar, and it works great on bass too.
Three simple controls make it easy to dial in: Comp sets the amount of compression, Attack is dual-function (it shapes both the attack and the threshold — how hard you have to hit it before it clamps down), and Level is unity gain at noon with up to +3 dB of boost on tap. It stays clear and dynamic even at maximum compression, draws very little current, and is built like a tank.
Features
- Transparent, uncoloured "studio"-style compressor (Made in Denmark)
- Controls: Comp, Attack (attack + threshold), Level (unity at noon, +3 dB boost max)
