The Ampeg V-4B is a true classic among tube amplifiers!

This amp delivers 100 watts of pure, dynamic tube tone for bassists looking for that iconic Ampeg sound without the weight of an SVT. With its all-tube design, it delivers warm, organic tone with a distinctive overdrive when pushed hard—perfect for players who enjoy the raw edge of hard-working power tubes.

The V-4B combines vintage ‘70s looks with modern versatility. Flexible impedance settings (2, 4, or 8 ohms) and a 3-way midrange switch let you fine-tune the amp to your sound and setup. And at just 40 pounds (18.6 kg), this workhorse is a lot more portable than its big brother, without sacrificing tone or character.
