Burman Pro 4000 70's - Black tolex
Burman Pro 4000 Bass Valve Head — a rare and serious piece of British amp history.
Built in England in the 1970s by Burman, the Pro 4000 is a substantial all-valve bass head with two channels, independent three-band EQ sections, low-frequency switching, master volume and presence controls. These are exceptionally powerful-sounding amplifiers with a reputation for huge headroom and serious volume.
This example is in great condition and has been professionally serviced.
Power: commonly specified around 100–140W
Channels: Twin, with independent 3-band EQs
Controls: Low Frequency Switching, Master Volume, Presence
Era: 1970s
Made: England / UK
Modification: The bypass switch was not originally fitted and was added subsequently.
I've used the amplifier with two EL34 output valves rather than the full complement because the full output was simply far more volume than I needed. The amplifier has been serviced/configured accordingly.
