No BS. No ebay surprises. We’re perfectionists and don’t cut corners. Although this instrument came to us in relatively good shape, we want our items to be better than the rest and invested *many* hours of tech time plus parts costs to fully overhaul this unit so it would be clean, working like new again and as reliable as possible for its next owner. This was a serious investment of time, love, and money, and was definitely worth the effort and is of course reflected in the higher than usual price. If you’re looking for a great sounding example of this model that works just like it should without needing to invest hundreds or thousands of dollars in tech fees and waiting from weeks to years, this one should make you very happy. Unlike most you may find, this VC10 has had its electronics meticulously overhauled by professional vintage synthesizer repair specialists with decades of experience (us). We did the following work to it:Disassembled and cleaned inside and out.Cleaned and lubed pots, switches and jacks to eliminate crackle.Cleaned keyboard and key contacts. Cleaned gooseneck mic connector (mic not included)Replaced all electrolytic capacitors as a preventative measure so its next owner won't have to worry about that (they're all overdue for a change now).This work required 6 hours of highly skilled vintage synth tech labor. The end result is a professionally serviced and sold vc10 that works perfectly, that's better than other examples on the market, and that's priced accordingly.
