About this listing
Like new. Only tested. No signs of wear. It has been kept unused in its box. Comes with all accessories (USB cable and power supply). I can't find the documentation, but if I do, I will include it (it was just a quick start guide). The full manual and quick start guide can be downloaded from the website. Latest firmware, factory default settings. The device can be used as an effects unit, sampler, MIDI controller for VJ or audio tools, or an audio interface (with 2 input and 36 output channels!). An incredibly versatile device for the stage or studio.I think there is a lot of misunderstanding about this device. There are many reviews on YouTube criticizing it for lacking a sequencer or having RCA outputs instead of XLR. It is mainly criticized by people who wanted to see it as a copy of Akai MPC or Roland SP series drum samplers. In my opinion, this is the best Kaoss pad released so far. As always, the build quality is great, with a metal housing. It has the best MIDI implementation of any Kaoss Pad to date, that fully allows you to use it as a MIDI controller with audio or VJ software, and any external sequencer you can think of - even an iPhone. This device would lose its simplicity if a sequencer were added. Besides, there is no single perfect sequencer, and it would probably be criticized for missing features or flaws anyway. This is mainly a live device for adding spontaneous effects, but you can also resample, add loops, or play drum parts on the fly (just like Fred Again... does, for example). No battery? This device isn't meant to be portable - especially with its solid metal housing, which was made for the stage, not the park. The only downsides are the lack of a companion app to configure the effects (it would be great if it had one) and the honestly strange decision to include a second micro-USB port instead of two USB-C ports.
