About this listing
Fender factory wired on fiberboard, with original transformers. Made in 1982. This amp has none of the changes that gave the silverface amps a bad name. There are factory changes in PI tail and on tiny caps grids of power tubes from the early blackface models that yields better distorted sound when pushed hard. Has factory-installed push-pull boost on Volume pot which is also foot-switchable, and Line Out jack on back: both factory added. Neither of these affect the expected Deluxe Reverb sound (unless the pull-boost is pulled out), The Deluxe Reverb was discontinued the year after this was made (1982), replaced by the Deluxe Reverb II in 1983. The tubes are original Fender brand except for V! & V2 (no name visiable), V3 is a Groove Tube, and V6 is a Peavey. The speaker is Fender-labeled made by Pyle, and is very efficient (more loudness per watt) than the Oxford speakers used in prior years. It sounds to me like an EVM-12L with delicious big, clean tones, not coloring the sound of the amp itself. Original e-caps. No electronic issues! Delivers full power with no undo noise, hum, or microphonics. If you want me to fully “blackface" this amp, and/or replace the electrolytic caps, let me know. Reverb.com states it will require a signature upon delivery.
