About this listing
Warm vintage sounding mid-70s Gibson J-45 Deluxe in good original condition.Top is spruce, back and sides are mahogany. The neck is mahogany with rosewood fretboard. Gibson custom tuners.Sunburst finish with generous tortoiseshell bindings to the top and bottom, along with a tortoiseshell guard and pearl dot markers really make this guitar stand out. This is in very good condition for its age. There are some dings, marks and light buckle wear but nothing major. Some slight gassing is showing in the binding but the binding is still perfectly attached and in overall great shape despite some chipping. There is a small bit of clouding to the lacquer to the edge of the lower bout. The top is flat, neck is straight and the action spot-on so it plays very nicely. There is plenty of life left in the frets as it has been re-fretted.There is a small (1”*0.5”) patch to the inside of the sound hole to add reinforcement to a glued crack. My photos don't really do it justice as it's a pretty guitar first hand.Comes with a hard shell case.Just to add, as I’ve been asked, this has definitely not had a neck break; I didn’t include a close up of the neck at the headstock as my photos concentrate on the imperfections! Message me for any more photos. I can deliver in person or demo in central London.
