The Fulltone Ranger is Mike Fuller's ultimate tribute to the legendary Dallas Rangemaster, the iconic treble booster that helped define the guitar tones of the 1960s and became an essential ingredient in the rigs of countless British rock pioneers.
Built around a carefully selected NOS germanium transistor, the Ranger faithfully captures the touch sensitivity, harmonic richness, and amp-enhancing qualities that made the original Rangemaster one of the most influential effects pedals ever created. Rather than simply boosting volume, it adds clarity, sustain, articulation, and musical overtones while pushing a tube amplifier into its sweetest natural overdrive.
What sets the Ranger apart is its remarkable versatility. A six-position rotary selector allows players to tailor the boost across different frequency ranges, from the classic upper-mid and treble emphasis of the original Rangemaster to fuller midrange and full-range boost settings, making it equally effective with vintage single coils, P-90s, humbuckers, and modern amplifiers.
An internal Bias adjustment provides further tonal refinement, allowing the operating point of the germanium transistor to be fine-tuned for different textures, dynamics, and playing environments.
Like all of Mike Fuller's finest designs, the Ranger combines uncompromising vintage authenticity with the flexibility and reliability expected from a modern boutique pedal.
