Seeing how much their original C12 was still in use and revered during the 70's and early 80's, this was the first "reissue" AKG did of it's own C12 in the 80's.

At the time, it was adopted without thinking twice and you can see it on various studio session pics of major artists. With time cult of the original C12 overshadowed this version.

6072 tube in it, nylon ck 12 capsule that you'd find in the 414 of the era (EB, ULS, TL...)

So, here is a mid 80's AKG C12 the tube (not the 2010 or current C12 VR).

Working just fine. Did fully re-capped the original power supply, cause this thing is 40 years old, so thought it wouldn't be a bad idea.

Mic is good condition. Not a single dent on the mic head grill. Electronics are healthy and pristine (i'm probably the first one to open it), capsule skin clean too. Mic body-powdered coating finish of the era ( you'd see the same on some schoeps CMC of the at the same period) is in good condition for it's age. Not immaculate, but not sticky. Shock mount coating, which has the same finish is more tired.
