T-Rex MudHoney, from my personal collection and in excellent condition. The original MudHoney — T-Rex's first distortion and a longtime favorite for being a genuine all-rounder. Hand-built in Denmark, it covers a huge amount of ground, from a growly, nasty rhythm grit at lower gain right up to thick, almost fuzz-like saturation when you push it.

Four simple controls keep it fast and musical: Gain, Tone and Level, plus a Boost switch that flips between a moderate, tube-screamer-ish drive and a much hotter, high-gain voice. The punchy, slightly aggressive midrange is what gives it that natural rock character and helps it cut through a mix — equally at home on rhythm or leads.
