The Gibson Explorer Ebony is one of the most iconic and aggressive-looking guitars in Gibson’s lineup. First introduced in 1958, the Explorer became a favorite among rock and metal players thanks to its powerful tone, long sustain, and unmistakable futuristic body shape.
This 2016 example features the classic solid mahogany body and set mahogany neck, delivering the thick midrange punch and sustain Gibson is known for. The rosewood fingerboard provides a smooth playing feel, while the powerful humbuckers deliver everything from warm vintage tones to high-gain rock sounds.
