For all those Stone Roses/John Squire and Beatles fans

One of the coolest Gretsch guitars ever made. We know this specific guitar, as the owner sold this one in the early nineties with his old shop. An American classic from the golden era, this 1964 Gretsch Country Gentleman in Walnut delivers iconic tone and professional performance. Made in the USA, its double-cutaway laminated maple body eliminates f-holes to reduce feedback while keeping the airy, semi-hollow resonance—perfect for both stage and studio.

Equipped with a Filter’Tron in the neck and a Power’Tron in the bridge, it offers a wide range of tones: bright, clear cleans with defined twang, tight edge-of-breakup crunch, and controlled sustain at higher volumes. The Bigsby B6 vibrato adds expressive shimmer without muddying note attack, while the adjustable ebony-based bridge with original mute mechanism ensures solid intonation and feel.

The bound ebony fingerboard with classic thumbnail inlays and maple neck provides smooth, confident play across all 22 frets. The slim-to-medium C-profile, 24.6" scale, and 12" radius make bends effortless and chord work comfortable. Controls are classic and intuitive: individual volume knobs, a tone switch, and a standby switch allow instant tonal shaping without complicated coil-splits. Grover Sta-Tite tuners deliver reliable vintage-accurate tuning stability.

In short: a professional-grade vintage Gretsch that blends iconic tone, stage-ready playability, and timeless style.

The guitar is in overal good shape, note it is over 60 years old.
It plays wonderfull, and has a comfortable neck.
