SOUND CHARACTERISTICS

The DM 2112 M delivers a mid-focused tonal character with a slightly nasal upper-mid presence. Vocals and speech have a forward, vintage timbre that cuts through easily in lo-fi or character recordings. Works well for gritty vocal textures, harmonica, or electric guitar close-miking where a narrower midrange focus is desired.

FREQUENCY RESPONSE

Estimated Frequency Response:
80 Hz – 12,000 Hz

  • Noticeable emphasis in the 2–4 kHz region (nasal presence bump)
  • Gentle high-frequency roll-off above 10 kHz
  • Mild low-end attenuation below 100 Hz
