The Audix i5 is a robust, dynamic instrument microphone with a wide frequency spectrum that is also excellently suited for percussion instruments. Audix i5 stands for accurate and very natural sound reproduction thanks to a dynamic capsule in cardioid characteristic and a type B VLM diaphragm. Since this universal microphone can handle sound pressures of up to a level of 140 dB without distortion and does so over a frequency range of 50 Hz to 16 kHz, it is the first choice when it comes to miking snare drums, percussion, electric guitar and bass cabinets/combos, various acoustic instruments or even pure speech.
The high-quality die-cast metal housing with zinc alloy is equipped with a sturdy steel basket that effectively protects the capsule behind it. This high mechanical level guarantees a low probability of failure and a very long service life.
