The Paiste Formula 602 18" Crash Cymbal is a 18" crash cymbal that is hand-crafted from CuSn20 bronze, with a traditional finish. The completely handcrafted cymbals of the Modern Essentials Formula 602 series were developed in collaboration with legendary drummer Vinnie Colaiuta. Colaiuta, who has famous names such as Zappa, Sting, Chaka Khan and Ray Charles on his resume, pursued a universal all-round sound character that is not specialized in certain styles and has particularly broad sonic potential.

The high demands of Colaiutas where met by Swiss cymbal forge-master with a combination of the classic 602 sounds - transparency and stick definition - with the rich, warm, dark and slightly more complex sound of the Signature Traditionals. This crash cymbal has a full, warm, brilliantly shimmering, deep sound with a fairly wide range and complex mix. Featuring a quick response, and fairly soft feel, the Formula 602 Crash cymbals have a rich, strong crash sound with open low end and shimmering highs. A very versatile, responsive cymbal suited for many live and studio applications.
