Acoustic and electric sounds in one instrumentThe SE Hollowbody II Piezo combines the balanced, clear, and resonant sound of a hollowbody with the power and stability of a solid-body electric guitar. Crafted with a maple back and top and mahogany sides, the SE Hollowbody II Piezo offers a subtle sparkle and a bright tone in an attractive design. The 58/15 LT "S" pickups ensure clarity and balance, with a rich, musical tone in a hollowbody platform.Equipped with an LR Baggs/PRS piezo system, the SE Hollowbody II Piezo offers players the versatility of using both acoustic and electric sounds in a single instrument. The instrument is designed with two separate volume controls (magnetic and piezo) and output jacks (mix/piezo and magnetic). Players can connect to the "Mix/Piezo" jack and use the individual volume controls to blend the 58/15 LT "S" pickups with the acoustic piezo sounds. Alternatively, players can connect to the jacks separately, allowing the guitar to use the magnetic pickups with an amplifier and the piezo with an acoustic amplifier or a DI box connected to the soundboard. When using the magnetic output alone, the piezo's battery is completely bypassed, serving as a safety feature (in this case, the magnetic pickups continue to function even if the piezo's battery is dead).
