Offering a Yamaha SG1000 from 1982, made in Japan. The SG1000 is one of the most respected Japanese instruments of its era - solid mahogany construction, deep set neck joint, ebony fingerboard with pearloid trapezoid inlays and gold hardware throughout including the characteristic engraved tailpiece. Built at a time when Yamaha was competing directly with the finest American instruments, and frequently came out ahead in blind tests.
This example in Cherry Sunburst - a deep, saturated red transitioning into a darker edge - presents beautifully. Gold hardware with natural patina consistent with age. Electronics fully original and working, including the push/push coil split function on the tone controls - pressing either knob switches to single coil mode, significantly expanding the tonal range of the instrument.
