Mondivox Echo Chamber – Vintage Analog Delay – MN3005 BBD Chip – Made in Japan
Up for sale is a pristine condition Mondivox Echo Chamber, a rare vintage analog delay/echo unit from the early 1980s, made in Japan.
This little box is built around the legendary Matsushita MN3005 BBD chip — the very same chip found in classic units like the Ibanez AD-80, the Ibanez AD-100, and the Roland DM-100. It delivers that warm, slightly lo-fi analog echo character that no digital plugin can truly replicate.
The Mondivox Echo Chamber was sold under several brand names (BST, Monacor, Europsonic…) but they are all identical units. A true cult object among vintage gear enthusiasts, especially popular for rockabilly, reggae, post-punk, psychedelic sounds, and vintage keyboard effects.
Controls & Connections:
- Volume, Balance, Repeat, Time Delay
- 2 x mono jack inputs: -50 dB / -20 dB input level
- 1 output with selectable level: 0 dB / -20 dB / -40 dB
- Internal 220V power supply (European voltage)
- All-steel chassis with aluminum faceplate
Sound: Warm, organic, slightly noisy analog echo — in the best possible way. A real vintage vibe machine.
