MFB 522 (2010s, Red)
I’m letting go of my MFB 522 – a small, very direct drum machine with a lot of character. It’s not about diving through menus, more about switching it on and just playing. There’s something immediate and a bit raw about it.
Sound-wise it leans clearly into the analog territory, with that warm, slightly “dirty” edge that makes even simple patterns feel alive. I always liked it most when things didn’t need to be perfect, but rather organic and moving.

I’ve enjoyed using it a lot, but it has slowly moved out of my current setup – and it’s too nice to just sit around unused.
