Up for sale is my VG-88 V-Guitar system with Version 2 firmware and manuals. Roland’s VG series was well ahead of its time and it’s great to see it popular again via sound designers and artists like Mk.gee. This VG-88 is built like a tank and works great. I’ve tested it with a GK-equipped guitar to confirm. It has the Version 2 firmware installed (see startup screen photo) and has been reset to factory settings, so it’s ready for your patches. This listing includes the original Roland Owners manual, Quick Start guide, Version 2 guide, and Version 2 patch listing, and an extra EV-5. I am the original/only owner. Overall it’s in very good shape. All the jacks, pedal, controls, and push buttons work and there are no major cosmetic issues. The internal lithium battery was recently serviced/replaced and the internals look clean and free from wear or damage (see photo). The only thing I noticed is it’s missing one of the 6 pads underneath the unit, as you can see from the picture of the bottom. The Version 2 firmware is the most recent firmware and includes helpful extras missed in the original release. The unit will be very carefully packed before shipping to get it to you safely. The shipping charge isn’t a money maker for me—the unit is not light. This listing DOES NOT include a Roland GK pickup or the 13-pin instrument cable to connect it to your guitar. Also note that an earlier version of this listing included a EV-5 Expression Pedal—that pedal is no longer available and is not included in this listing.
