About this listing
The Focusrite Scarlett OctoPre is an eight-channel microphone preamplifier with 24-bit/192kHz A-D conversion and ADAT optical output, designed to expand the input count of any audio interface with ADAT connectivity.
Preamp Details
Built around eight of Focusrite's 2nd generation Scarlett preamps, the OctoPre delivers 109dB of dynamic range and -127 dBu EIN across all channels. Each channel accepts mic or line signals via rear-panel combo XLR/TRS jacks, and a switchable pad adds 8dB of headroom for loud sources like drum kits. Two front-panel 1/4" instrument inputs handle guitar and bass with extended headroom. 48V phantom power is available on all eight channels, switchable in banks of four.
Analog Outputs
Eight balanced 1/4" TRS line outputs on the rear panel mirror the input signals, allowing the OctoPre to serve double duty as a standalone preamp for live sound while simultaneously sending digital audio to your DAW via ADAT.
