Selling super rare and really sweet sounding snare drum, great for the studiowork for example!
Missing original tuningscrews, claws for hoops, wires and strainer. Mentioned ones are now new quality parts.
The gorgeous shell, lugs, butt end and the hoops are original. Everything is working smoothly and this really is a candy for drummers loving vintage feel. Scratches do not affect the sound.
Sound is dry but full, really easy to tune. This light drum speaks volumes even when played softly!
Exact size for this shell is a 34,7 cm or 13,66", so I ordered new heads from St. Drums Germany.
One could also use custom made calf skins for this to add some spice. And also possible to fit normal 14" heads with lug spacers and beefier hoops to increase versatility of this unique shell.
Dated the drum to year 1947 or so.
