The cap job was done with an assortment of highly regarded caps including early 60s blue molded caps from the brown/blackface era.

Other than the cap job and 40 year old retweed with original Fender tweed, all major parts in the amp are original - all transformers, gold label 12" Jensen Alnico 5 Concert speaker with original cone and a nicely tuned mix of new and NOS tubes. Inside the chassis on a piece of masking tape there's a signature of Lily Garland, a well known assembly lady from the 50s Fullerton factory.

Needles to say the amp sounds amazing, it really might be the perfect tweed - beautiful drive at just the right volume, same 4 input interactive configuration as a 5E3 Deluxe for a wide variety of tones and a head spinning bias-vary vibrato. An often overlooked bonus is the larger cabinet resulting in a fuller and tighter bass response with way more projection than the small cab tweeds.
