We are SOFT NOISE AUDIO, a vintage and second hand guitar dealership based in Dublin Ireland.

We aim to supply a wide range of rare and interesting vintage/second hand guitars, basses, along with a huge range or new high end boutique effect pedals and other rare treasures that can be viewed On our website.

This is a Gretsch Duo Jet.
It features a large headstock and horseshoe inlay, a style recently reissued as the 89 Duo Jet.
The only differences between this and the similar 6131 Jet Firebird are the parts and the colouring of the top.

It handles like a Gibson Les Paul and can even produce a Telecaster-like feel.

It was manufactured in 2000.

The pickups are a TV Jones T-90 in the front and a TV Jones T-Armond in the rear.
The Filtertron is easily removed and replaced. The bridge base is currently made of ebony and is fitted with an ABR-1 pickup, which was custom-made to fit the body.
Instead of the bridge I used, I'm including the Montreux ABR-1 shown in the photo with new nylon saddles.
The original bridge and base are included, but the ABR-1 produces a significantly better sound.

While I currently have a Bigsby on the guitar, I'm also including the original Gretsch G tailpiece.
The tailpiece is not a standard Jet tailpiece, but one removed from a Gretsch full-acoustic guitar.
It's longer than the standard Jet tailpiece, which I used to reduce the distance to the bridge and prevent unwanted resonance. It's also less likely to go out of tune than a shorter tailpiece. The wiring is cross-wired, and the capacitor is an Orange Drop 0.033μf.

There are some small dents on the back and sides of the body, but they don't damage the wood, and I think they'll be easy to retouch if they bother you. See images. The pickguard and pickup rings were originally silver but have been painted gold. There are scratches and tarnish on the metal parts due to use and care, but it is in very good condition for a 25-year-old guitar. This guitar is in player-reviewed condition and has many resolution points, so please refrain from purchasing if you are sensitive about this. Includes original hard case.
