"The Fender® American Vintage II Series features a remarkably accurate take on the revolutionary designs that altered the course of musical history. Constructed with period-accurate bodies, necks and hardware, premium finishes, and year-specific pickups with unmatched sonority. meticulously crafted, each instrument captures the essence of true Fender craftsmanship and tone. The Telecaster® Thinline first debuted in July 1968, and the semi-hollow design was created to produce lightweight instruments from dense ash. Re-released in late '71 with a pair of Wide Range humbucking pickups mounted on a reshaped curved pearloid pickguard, the improved second-generation Telecaster Thinline had its first full year of production in 1972. Notably, it was Fender's first six-string with humbucking pickups and the first Tele® with six adjustable bridge saddles. The American Vintage II 1972 Telecaster® Thinline reproduces the quintessential tone and feel of the original. Featuring a "C"-shaped hard rock maple neck, the American Vintage II 1972 Telecaster® Thinline plays like a dream with a 7.25"-radius fingerboard and vintage high frets. To create authentic Wide Range humbucking pickups, we resurrected CuNiFe magnets, an essential element for recreating the sounds of the originals. A production hallmark of 1972, this Thinline is equipped with a comfortable ""Bullet"-style truss rod nut", three-bolt neck plate with Micro-Tilt™ mechanism, "F"-stamped machine heads, fixed bridge 6-bent steel saddle and offered in Aged Natural, 3-Color Sunburst, and Lake Placid Blue over a semi-hollow ash body. American Vintage II Series instruments are direct descendants of the original Fender: designed for players with a keen appreciation for vintage Fender tone and feel and built with unmatched quality, down to the last screw. These are Fender electrics in their purest form: the Fender American Vintage II, the stuff of legends. see more FEATURES Semi-hollow ash body Glossy polyurethane finish.
