This is a Fender USA Stratocaster HSS Shawbucker original case with Candy, EX Display Sienna Sunburst. This guitar has literally just hung on display in a shop and may have been played/Demo'd a few times.
I'm not allowed to call it new but it basically is an as New Condition
**RARE RARE RARE>>> This model was only built for 1 year in this format between 2015 and 2016, it replaced the USA Standard HSS and was replaced by the American Pro Series HSS Shawbucker in 2017
The Fender American Standard Stratocaster has been a staple of the guitar world since its inception and year after year Fender manage to come up with a new way to make it better than ever before.
With this example they have gone to legendary pickup designer Tim Shaw whose knowledge of this style of pickup is second to none. Through this partnership the Shawbucker was born and now you can find this pickup in a guitar we have all come to love.
Same Iconic Design
This Sienna Sunburst Model is the ONLY finish that sports an ASH body, All other Standard Shawbucker finishes are applied to an alder body. The Maple neck that will never go out of style giving this strat has the same beautiful crisp and clear sound that we have become accustomed to. The neck has been carved to a modern 'C' profile that is neither thick nor thin and is just simply comfortable for pretty much any style of playing.
New Revolutionary Electronics
There are a few things that have kept the Stratocaster relevant throughout its long life. The quality, the versatility, the customizability and the revolutionary new features. This guitar is just as good quality, just as versatile and just as customizable as every before and of course there has to be some new innovation.
This revolution comes from the Tim Shaw designed humbucking pickup in the bridge position and how it is controlled. Normally when you mix humbucker and single coil pickups you either lose openness on the humbucker or that special sparkle in the single coils. Fender however have come up with a volume pot that runs at both 500k and 250k so no matter what pickup you are on you get the best possible sound.
This new humbucker is designed to perfectly match the vintage tonal character that stratocasters are known for while still remaining nice and hot. No matter if you prefer a classic or modern sound the Shawbucker has a fantastic tone that will easily fit somewhere in to your rig. The single coil pickups are the same Custom Shop Fat 50s that have been on the strat for a couple of years and they do not disappoint.
Sounds
The HSS has a less pushy character than the recently-released SSS, which sounds a little beefier in the lower mids with a little more separation, clarity and percussion.
The HSS sounds a little more 'blurred', in a good way - very Fender. The bridge/middle mix is a little muted, less stringy - again, in a good way - while the nicely balanced bridge humbucker smooths some of the spikier highs and nails a more classic rock voice into a crunchier gained 'Marshall-like amp channel'
Comes with a great Fender Hard Case that's just perfect for protecting such an exquiste guitar.
