Ai vertici della produzione Sonor dal 1988 al 1994, la serie Hilite presenta fusti in acero a 9 strati spessi 7mm., diametro leggermente “undersized”, blocchetti 'tube lugs' con separatori in gomma. Di fattura veramente eccellente, queste batterie costavano un patrimonio, e passano tutt'ora di mano a prezzi elevati. Sono tamburi realizzati con cura estrema ed hanno un suono spettacolare.
