The Grundig GDM 17 was created during the rise of home recording and broadcast consumer gear in the 1960s. Compact yet stylish, it reflects Grundig’s approach of offering accessible microphones with robust build quality, often bundled with their reel-to-reel recorders and radio systems. Today, its mid-century charm makes it a collectible and conversation piece as much as a practical tool.
