The Voodoo Vibe is inspired by the legendary Uni-Vibe® pedal, which simulates a Leslie/rotary speaker effect. Developed in the 1960s, rotary speaker/Leslie systems took advantage of the Doppler effect to produce sound vibrato.
With the NUX Voodoo Vibe, this three-dimensional effect was reproduced using high-resolution rendering, which promises a very authentic sound experience.
The effect proportion, speed and intensity of the effect can be adjusted using three potentiometers.
Two different effect modes can be selected: Vibe and Chorus. In Vibe/Vibrato mode, Intensity changes the depth of the sweep effect. In Chorus mode, Intensity changes the amount of pitch modulation of the effect. The footswitch has the secondary function Smart Tap Tempo, which lets you adjust the speed of the effect with your foot (a quick double press activates this mode).
If the footswitch is held down for a long time, the pedal changes the effect mode (vibe or chorus) without changing the volume (unlike many conventional pedals). Very compact, but full of tonal options and exquisite sounds, the Voodoo Vibe is an enrichment for every pedalboard!
