About this listing
Flanger Pedal Boss BF-2 from 1983 Made in Japan. Used condition but in perfect working order. The BF-2 Flanger circuit has loads of potential, but in it’s stock form it a pedal that’s muddy, thin and just plain wimpy sounding. However, the Hi-Fi Modification I have installed unleashes the robust, throbbing flange of the BF-2, while retaining the clarity and warmth of your original tone. I also converted to 9v dc. Please note this pedal does not come with it's original box.About the Mod: This mod fine tunes the resonance and manual controls for smooth fat analogue flanging without metallic harshness of the standard pedal. Both the op-amps in the signal path have been replaced with socketed high quality audio op-amps. Your guitar’s natural tone will be preserved instead of being lost in a wash. it Eliminates Noise, this supreme mod replaces all the cheap electrolytic caps with high quality audiophile film caps, MMLC and Nichicon Fine Gold Electrolytic so your tone is unrestricted and full of power. Relevant Op Amps upgraded to LF353.The LFO is fine tuned for faster maximum speed and deeper maximum depth, all the slow speeds are left intact. Know your speed. A special dual LED will glow Blue in time with the rate of flange when bypassed. When the effect is engaged, the LED turns Red.The seller is located in Northern Ireland, a trade member of the EU trade agreement, which means purchases do not have to clear customs in other European member countries, no customs import charges will apply to the buyer, however local Value added tax may be applicable.Delivery to the UK is unaffected and there will be no custom or VAT duties applicable to the buyer. Also, contact me if you prefer an expedited delivery service or you would like a quote for delivery to your location.I will pay all Import Customs and Duties due to buyers in the USA in advance.
