A magnificent sounding Vintage 1950s 20”! From Zildjian’s golden age. There’s something about that Zildjian alloy from the 1940s and 50s. It’s softer and buttery. And it’s actually Hand Hammered - imagine that!
And that’s exactly the case with this particular 20” 7 decade old Zildjian.
This is the tone Zildjian built their name on.
This particular 20” has an exceptionally warm, lush tone and it crashes magnificently. Beautifully Hand Hammered.
Semi-dry, woody stick attack that is followed by a wonderful glowing warm Hand Hammered wash.
Crash on it all you want - it’s 2285 grams - making it a Medium Thin to Medium. Could live its entire life as a Semi-Dark Full Crash.
Amazing shape! No issues. Stunning medium dark patina naturally built up over 7 decades.
Don’t pay more money for a “Vintage Vibe” Zildjian.
It’s a lot more fun to just play the original 70 year old one. And this one is a beauty. Amazing shape too!
