Victor Wooten’s Basses and Road-Tested Rarities Are Coming to Reverb

Victor Wooten’s Official Reverb Artist Shop is now open, featuring a wide-ranging collection of basses, banjo-basses, stage gear, studio tools, personal pieces, and road-tested oddities pulled directly from the bass legend’s world.

Following our recent visit to Wooten’s Nashville home studio—a creative space that doubles as a working room, instrument archive, and living map of his musical life—this new shop gives fans and players another way into the orbit of one of the most influential bassists of all time.

The shop spans everything from boutique Foderas and deep-cut electric basses to loopers, preamps, rack gear, straps, stage apparel, and one-of-a-kind instruments that speak to Wooten’s endlessly curious approach to sound.

At the heart of the collection are several standout basses that reflect different corners of that universe. A Fodera Yin Yang 4 Standard Special Bass Guitar connects directly to the visual and sonic identity most associated with Wooten, while a Fodera 4-String Monarch and Fodera NYC Empire Bass offer more boutique low-end firepower from one of his most closely linked builders.

There’s also a Traben “Bootzilla” Bootsy Collins Signature (gifted to Victor by Bootsy himself), a Philip Kubicki Factor Bass, and a Steinberger 4-String Bass—each one a reminder that Wooten’s voice has always lived somewhere between deep tradition, technical invention, and total playfulness.

Beyond the basses, the shop gets weirder in the best way. A Steinberger Fretless Heli-Mount Bass Banjo, Nechville “The Banjovie,” Gold Tone CEB5 5-String Cello Banjo, Bass O Lin, Bass Banjo, and Guild Ashbory Rubber String Bass all point to Wooten’s broader view of the instrument—not just as a role in the band, but as a whole universe of textures, tunings, and possibilities.

More highlights include:

  • An Oberheim Echoplex and Lexicon JamMan Delay and Looper
  • A Boss RC-300 with tape and notes
  • Two A/DA MB-1 MIDI Tube Bass Preamps
  • A Gibson J-200 and custom “SS” Bass
  • Wooten straps, jackets, road cases, rack gear, and other personal pieces

The shop arrives alongside a broader look at Wooten’s creative world, from the instruments that shaped his voice to the gear that helped support decades of exploration onstage, in the studio, and far beyond the usual boundaries of bass.

For fans, players, and collectors, it’s a rare chance to own pieces from one of the instrument’s most singular and expansive minds. The Official Victor Wooten Reverb Shop is open now.
