Grammy Award-Winner Mark Lettieri Is Bringing Funk-Filled Collection of Gear to Reverb

You’re sitting there minding your own business, scrolling Instagram. Then the funk hits.

Before the social media platform that showcases his famous jam sessions was even created, multi-instrumentalist Mark Lettieri was performing a combination of rock, jazz, R&B, blues, and yes, funk. Now, a collection of studio-and tour-used guitars, prototype PRS guitars, pedals, and more from the Grammy Award-winning player could be yours. Introducing The Official Mark Lettieri Reverb Shop.

A native of the Bay Area, Lettieri honed his craft in Texas, where he became a staple of the music scene in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, joining the jazz fusion band Snarky Puppy in 2008. Nearly two decades later, the talented guitar, baritone guitar, and bass guitar player has earned multiple Grammy Awards as a member of Snarky Puppy and a Grammy nomination as a solo artist for his acclaimed Deep: The Baritone Sessions Vol. 2.

His solo work—praised for its groove-forward compositions and inventive guitar and baritone guitar tones—has cemented his place as one of modern music’s most distinctive voices on the instrument. This voice has enabled Lettieri to also serve as a founding member of bands like the Fearless Flyers alongside Cory Wong, and accompany everyone from Erykah Badu and David Crosby to Dave Chappelle.

“You’ve heard this stuff on records, you’ve seen it on gigs, in videos, and it all holds a very special place in my heart, but I’m finally letting it go…and I hope that you get it so that you can make music!” said Lettieri.

In addition to Lettieri’s well-worn guitars, pedals, and more, The Official Mark Lettieri Reverb Shop also features a number of unreleased prototype guitars from PRS. “Now of course you can’t have a guitar store with Mark Lettieri without some Paul Reed Smith stuff, right?” said Lettieri, before showing off a number of unique gloss-finished PRS Fiore guitars in Hibiscus, Black Hyacinth, Sunflower, and Purple Satin colorways.

The Official Mark Lettieri Reverb Shop will feature an early ‘90s Fender Stratocaster that Lettieri brought on his first tour with Erykah Badu. The guitar was also used on a number of Lettieri’s solo tracks such as Grillman, off of 2011's Knows. Additional items in the shop include:

  • An ‘80s Ibanez Roadstar II. “A lot of vibes on that guitar,” said Lettieri.
  • An ‘80s Peavey Patriot. A “one-pickup wonder” used on Snarky Puppy tours, the guitar has the words “rocks” taped to it. “That’s how you know,” said Lettieri.
  • A signed Line 6 M9 used by Lettieri on Bob Reynolds’ album Guitar Band.
  • A signed Ditto Looper, Lettieri’s first-ever, and the same seen throughout his popular Instagram funk jams.
  • An Audio-Technica AT4040 that Lettieri used to record “a thousand acoustic guitar tracks for people.”
  • Swag ranging from Deep the Baritone fish socks and more.

The Official Mark Lettieri Reverb Shop is now open.
