Heavy machinery, super warm 70s sound, respectable front panel and many other great features make the Marantz 1530 an all time favourite receiver. The Marantz 1530 is a classic vintage AM/FM stereo receiver introduced in 1978 during the final years of the brand's golden era under Superscope ownership.

The Model 1530 is known for its warm, musical sound, solid Japanese construction and iconic clean brushed aluminum front panel, smooth analog flywheel tuning, and heavy-duty internal components. Unlike later economical models that relied heavily on integrated circuits (ICs), the 1530 features robust, traditional transistor construction which makes it highly reliable and serviceable today.

The Model 1530 has a bulit-in output monitoring sensor that automatically reduces the output power when the cooling panels are detected too warm. This can happen when you use both Speaker channels of the amplifier with low impedance speakers (4Ω). Due to this feature the device is suggested to be used with high impedance speakers (8Ω).

This piece is in excellent condition, we only changed the lighting of the front panel, all the rest is original and untouched. A very cool feature is the Tape-I and Tape-II inputs that is very useful when you’re using a tape deck and reel-to-reel tape recorder in your system.
