Framus Morrigan Pro, Black Satin, made in Germany, serial number C 147998 08.

This is a German-made Framus Morrigan Pro from 2008 in Black Satin finish. It features the distinctive Morrigan offset double-cutaway body shape, bolt-in maple neck, rosewood fingerboard with sharkfin inlays, 22 jumbo frets, HSH Seymour Duncan pickup configuration, Framus Floyd Rose double-locking vibrato, locking nut, black hardware, Framus machine heads, master volume, master tone, and a 5-way selector.

This is the Morrigan Pro version, not the Morrigan Custom. The Pro model uses the HSH Seymour Duncan pickup layout, rosewood fingerboard, black hardware, Framus Floyd Rose vibrato, and satin finish. The Morrigan Custom was a different higher-spec version with different electronics, hardware, and finish options.

The pickup configuration is very flexible for a high-output rock and metal guitar: a Seymour Duncan SH-6 Duncan Distortion in the neck position, Seymour Duncan SSL-6 RW/RP in the middle position, and Seymour Duncan STB-6 in the bridge position. The 5-way selector allows a wider range of humbucker and single-coil-style tones than a standard HH metal guitar, while the Framus Floyd Rose vibrato and locking nut are built for aggressive tremolo use, dive bombs, vibrato effects, and stable tuning when properly set up.

The Morrigan Pro is a discontinued Framus model and has become harder to find, especially in this Black Satin finish. It combines German Framus construction with a very direct performance-oriented layout: comfortable sculpted body, fast maple neck, 25.5" scale length, 22 jumbo frets, HSH Seymour Duncan electronics, and double-locking tremolo.
