Selling this beautiful Knaggs Kenai in Cobra blue metallic color with white racing stripes.
This the first one ever made with white racing stripes back in December 2017 and handed to me at the Namm show in January 2018.
Originaly inspired by the American classic muscle car Shelby cobra as shown in the pictures.
It is not an Erick Steckel model or Steve Stevens!!
Only 1 ever handmade by the legendary luthier Joe Knaggs himself, hand signed in the back of the headstock.
This particular guitar has different specs than all other Striped Knaggs guitars:
- Fat 50's baseball bat neck mahogany
- Ebony fretboard with no inlays 22 frets and binding
- White truss rod cover custom made by gravity picks
- Hand signed by Joe Knaggs in the back of the headstock
- Bareknuckle "the mule" bridge pickup
- Seymour Duncan ceramic p90 pickup
- Upgraded Faber aluminium bridge with 3 titanium and 3 brass saddles made in Germany
- Dunlop nickel 6500 frets in great condition
- Mahogany body with binding
- Maple top
- Dunlop strap locks
- Nitro finish
- Custom cobra blue metallic paint with white racing stripes
- Gotoh open back tuners made in Japan
- Original Knaggs hard case included
- All signatures by the team that worked on this beauty
This is a real tone monster, rings forever and the particular pickup configuration is the perfect
match for ultimate versatility from bluesy single coily p90 sounds to barking mid humbucker sounds.
Fretboard feels fast as a Shelby, plays like a butter and stays absolutely in tune no matter the temperature change or climate change.
Slightly aged, Used and abused on the road as every great instrument should be.
You will find 2 dings and signs that this instrument has been played and loved on the road as shown in the pictures.
There's no other striped Knaggs with this fat neck, this pickup configuration, no inlays, white custom truss rod cover and white binding on the fretboard/body.
