Fender Princeton Reverie Custom

Boutique 5 watt Class A head amp (equivalent to 25W transistor power), fully valve-operated, made by a small artisan manufacturer in very limited numbers. The elegant cabinet is covered in real tweed, made relic as a real amp with 50 years of honored service, with chrome-plated corner protectors, rubber feet and real leather handle. The "chicken head knobs" simply control volume and tone.

It is based on the circuitry of the glorious Fender Princeton (5f2a) and completely handwired; it features 3 Sylvania NOS (Made in USA) tubes, a 12AX7 power tube, a 6v6 output and a 6Z4 rectifier, a rarity among amplifiers of this wattage that plays an important role in identifying a beautifully vintage tone.
The speaker output is 8ohm.

The head is as elegant and refined in appearance as it is warm and melodious in sound. At moderate volume it sounds clean and detailed, with the bass frequencies well controlled and the mid-high frequencies round and never sharp; as soon as you turn up the volume a little bit (staying even on absolutely homely levels) the sound shows off a wonderful crunch, warm, big and round, typical of the small tube amplifiers that have written the history of music.
