Steiner Parker Synthacon 1975

For sale this extremely rare original Steiner-Parker Synthacon.

Vintage synthesizer made in USA between 1975 and 1979. This unit is one of the first runs, as is silver front panel. Instead the later black panel units.

Serial number is 1253.

This synthesizers have a very unique sound and behavior. Very raw, very "electric" very powerful. The modulation possibilities and the special features of the envelopes and sample and hold, combined with the multiple modulation routes offers a wide range of sound from the traditional vintage lead or basses to a very huge palette of FX sound. Also the ranges and nuances of the sound remember to the early modular synths, for the sensation and sound that can offer. The filter is insane wild, I have played other filter clones and replicas but all were different and lacks of the special raw and brutal tone of the original Synthacon.

The unit have a recent service for tune up. Offers a very nice temperature compensation and tune. You can play melodically in wide range. You only need to wait 15-20 minutes from the cold start point, to play it in perfect tuning for long sessions.

The unit is in perfect working condition, the circuit, the pots, the switches and the keyboard.

The unit is good shape for the age, it have marks of time at the panel and wood. But taking in consideration the age and the rareness of this pieces is very good. You can take a look to the pictures, if you need some detail of any part write me.

Is a hard choice to put for sale, because it will be near impossible to find another one next time, and even more difficult in Europe... but need the funds for another big investment for the studio.
