Fender Stratocaster hardtail 1980

I have for sale an original Fender Stratocaster hardtail from 1980 which has seen better days, but is entirely functional with a beautifully-playing maple neck.

The majority of the guitar is composed of original parts including:

- Maple neck

- Body (based on the weight, believed to be ash)

- Three x single coil pickups

- Two of the three pots

- 3-way switch

- Bridge

- Tuning pegs

The guitar is currently presented in a natural, almost satin-like finish (i.e the colour of the ash wood body) but is believed to have originally sported blonde high gloss finish, with a black pickguard. Therefore neither the current white pickguard nor the knobs are original.

Unoriginal parts include:

- One replacement bridge screw and spring

- One of the three pots

- Plastic pickguard

- Plastic Tone & Volume knobs

- The majority of the pickguard screws.

- One of the screws from the neckplate.

Cosmetic defects include:

- Minor scratches and dents in body (primarily on the back) and fretboard

- Nut is cut rather deep and therefore may need replacing

- Missing pickup selector cap

- Damaged Tone knob and missing Volume knob (only the plastic knobs - the pots themselves work perfectly fine)

- Slight damage to rear of headstock.

- The frets have seen better days.

It is a fairly heavy instrument, weighing it at approx. 9.9lbs / 4.5kg.
