The Lindell Audio 6X-500 is a one channel preamp with EQ for the 500 series format.The 6X-500 offers up 65db of gain with transformer coupled inputs and outputs, and also includes a passive, two band, Pultec style EQ for effective tone shaping. The circuit uses the legendary 990 discrete gain make up amplifier, providing superior sound quality for even the most critical audio applications.The EQ on the 6X-500 provides up to 15db of high and low boost at switchable frequencies of 6, 10 and 16 kHz for the high boost and 30, 60 and 100Hz for the low boost, both based on the classic Pultec design. Even at high levels of boost the high end still manages to stay smooth while the low end offers punch and clarity, perfect for kicks and bass instruments.
