About this listing
I'm selling my 1951 Gibson LG-2. This is a beautiful players grade acoustic guitar that has had a lot of music put into it. It plays evenly and smoothly across the entire fretboard and excels at fingerpicking and flatpicking. The sound is woody and direct, with sparkling highs, punchy mids, and deep, warm lows. The guitar is remarkably light at 3.7lbs. Wish I could keep it but it's time to find it a new home. The neck was professionally reset and given a 'speed' finish so is very fast and comfortable. The tuners were upgraded to reliced nickel from stew mac. It had a recent refret and every note sings. I had a K&K pure mini installed and it sounds great plugged. Significant finish wear on the back and sides with crazing but I think that gives it mojo and vintage charm.Top: Solid Spruce sunburst finish Back/Sides : MahoganyNeck: Mahogany, speed finishTuners : reliced nickel from stew macSaddle/nut : boneNut width : 1 11/16thPickup : K&K pure minniBridge : RosewoodFretboard: RosewoodStrap button : yesComes shipped with a Gator hard shell case.
