Gibson Les Paul Studio Premium Plus 2008 in Rootbeer finish, featuring significant upgrades:
-Stunning AAA top worthy of the Custom Shop (this was the "Plus" feature of the Premium Plus series—a rare run produced in limited quantities between 2006 and 2008)
-Nice dark rosewood fretboard
-1959 neck profile: neither too thin nor too thick
-Bone nut
-Gotoh locking tuners
-Faber bridge and inserts
-Completely overhauled electronics: Switchcraft selector switch, CTS 500K pots, Orange Drop .022 mfd capacitors, Switchcraft output jack
-Tonerider Alnico II Classic Zebra pickups, very dynamic and warm
-Sold with its Gibson hard case
-Frets are in good condition
Lightweight for a Les Paul (3.6 kg) and highly resonant; it really vibrates when you dig in.
It has been well maintained but is a "player's guitar" in the best sense of the term; it has seen plenty of gigs and has a few scratches and dings (normal wear and tear). Naturally, the headstock was broken at one point but was repaired the right way; it remains completely reliable, and the repair didn't stop it from being used for gigs afterward.
