Legendary drum machine designed by Roger Linn and used on countless hit records throughout the 1980s. Renowned for its punchy sampled drum sounds, unmistakable groove, and iconic presence in pop, rock, synth-pop, electro, and early hip-hop productions. A true studio icon and one of the most influential drum machines ever made.
Technical
This LinnDrum underwent a complete professional electronic overhaul in October 2025 by the renowned vintage synthesizer specialist Reploid Services. A copy of the repair invoice (€1,105) will be included with the sale.
The service included:
* Brand-new modern power supply replacing the original ageing PSU.
* 10 new high-quality sliders.
* New master volume potentiometer.
* New tactile switches for the drum pads and function buttons.
* Complete internal inspection and cleaning.
* Voice architecture verification.
* Clock calibration.
* All original factory sound EPROMs tested and fully functional.
The machine is ready to use.
Condition
* Very good cosmetic condition for its age.
* Front panel is in superb condition.
* Only very light cosmetic corrosion on the rear panel (see photos).
Extras
* A copy of the Reploid Services repair invoice will be provided.
* High-resolution internal photographs are available on request.
* A complete demonstration video (voices, pads, sliders and functions) can be provided before purchase.
* Personal delivery by car can be arranged within Belgium, France, Germany and the Netherlands.
