The Kernom ELIPSE is a premium multi-modulation pedal designed to bring together major modulation families into a single expressive and modern tool. Chorus, vibrato, flanger, phaser, vibe, rotary, tremolo, and harmonic tremolo: everything is accessible from a single pedal, with the ability to continuously transition from one effect to another using the MOOD knob. The concept is typically Kernom: combining the warmth and character of analog modulations with advanced digital control to explore classic, hybrid, or more experimental textures without being limited by fixed modes.

The construction is robust and clearly stage-oriented: 5mm aluminum chassis, high-end Sparkly Duck Blue finish. The pedal's interface is clear, with Speed, Shape, Depth, MOOD, Mix, and SWIRL knobs, plus an ON/OFF footswitch and a Preset footswitch to recall a favorite sound. The connectivity places the ELIPSE in a truly professional context: universal mono audio input compatible with instrument or line level, mono output, expression pedal input, MIDI IN/OUT via mini-jack TRS Type A, true bypass with electromechanical relay, 9V DC negative center power supply, 1 MΩ input impedance, 100 Ω output impedance, and 24-bit / 48 kHz AD/DA conversion. With its internal preset, 127 MIDI presets, tap tempo, MIDI Clock synchronization, and temporal subdivisions, it integrates equally well into a traditional pedalboard, a MIDI setup, or a studio.

Audibly, the ELIPSE covers a particularly wide modulation territory, from discrete and organic movement to the most immersive textures. The tremolo can remain soft and vintage or become sharper and choppier depending on the Depth setting, while the harmonic tremolo provides a wider modulation, with a true sensation of movement between registers. The chorus and vibrato zones offer broad, enveloping, and very musical sounds, with the possibility of moving towards a tri-chorus thanks to the Shape control. The flanger brings that jet-engine and comb filter side, the phaser becomes fluid, rich, or more pronounced depending on the Mix, the vibe adds a 60s psychedelic color, and the rotary allows for a very lively swirling motion. The SWIRL knob adds an extra dimension: first, a slow phaser superimposed on the main effect, then a saturation that thickens the modulation and adds more grit, warmth, and character.
