Antique French Violin "MANSUY" – Jérôme Thibouville-Lamy (JTL), Mirecourt, France

This antique French violin bears the original "MANSUY" label and was produced by the renowned Jérôme Thibouville-Lamy (JTL) workshops in Mirecourt, the historic centre of French violin making.

Featuring a beautifully flamed one-piece maple back, a finely grained spruce top and a warm amber-brown varnish, the instrument has acquired an attractive patina over decades of careful use.

Recently, the violin was professionally set up by a violin maker, making it fully playable. Its warm, rich and balanced tone has also been praised by a professional violinist, making it an inspiring instrument for musicians as well as an attractive piece for collectors of French Mirecourt violins.
