Magnifique et authentique Gibson L 50 de 1957 (numéro de série vérifié).

On ne décrit plus cette guitare qui est avant tout une pure acoustique, avec un son jazz très doux et très puissant et une facilité de jeu absolument étonnante.

Cet exemplaire est en excellent état. Elle a traversé les décades avec bonheur et a été récemment mise en valeur par les soins d'Ollivier Chaix, luthier à Marseille.

Elle porte évidemment les marques de sa longue vie (voir photos), qui lui donnent son cachet si authentique.

Les interventions du maître-artisan ont porté sur :

- la planimétrie,

- une réparation de fissure sur la caisse,

- le remplacement des mécaniques d'origine par des Gotoh conformes,

- le remplacement du chevalet d'origine qui était usé

- et surtout l'installation d'un micro DeArmond FHC-C absolument neuf, qui a suivi la guitare depuis l'origine. L'ancien propriétaire avait acheté le micro en même temps que la guitare, mais n'a jamais pris le temps de le monter !

La guitare est visible à l'atelier d'Ollivier CHAIX, Luthier au 67 rue Terrusse à Marseille 5ème, sur RDV.

Beautiful and authentic Gibson L 50 from 1957 (serial number verified).

We no longer describe this guitar which is above all a pure acoustic, with a very soft and powerful jazz sound and an absolutely astonishing ease of playing.

This item is in excellent condition. It has passed through the decades with happiness and was recently showcased by the care of Ollivier Chaix, luthier in Marseilles (France).

She obviously bears the marks of her long life (see photos), which give her such an authentic stamp.

The master craftsman’s interventions focused on:

- the planimetry,

- a crack repair on the crate,

- the replacement of original mechanics by compliant Gotoh,

- the replacement of the original saddle that was worn out

- and the installation of an absolutely new DeArmond FHC-C microphone that followed the guitar from the start. The former owner had bought the microphone at the same time as the guitar, but never took the time to mount it!

The guitar is visible at the workshop of Ollivier CHAIX, 67 rue Terrusse in Marseilles 5th (France).
