La Gibson ES-335 DOT est la pierre angulaire de la gamme ES de Gibson. Dès son apparition inaugurale en 1958, la Gibson ES-335 a établi une norme inégalée. La touche en palissandre incrustée de points perlés sur un manche en acajou arrondi "C" poncé à la main rappelle aux guitaristes où tout a commencé. Les micros humbucker de type T calibrés de Gibson sont associés aux boutons de contrôles câblés à la main. Le résultat est le son polyvalent de la Gibson ES que les guitaristes recherchent depuis plus de 60 ans. La stabilité de l'accordage et l'intonation précise sont assurées par les mécaniques Vintage Deluxe avec boutons Keystone, associées au chevalet ABR-1 en aluminium léger et au cordier Stop Bar, ancrés par des molettes et les inserts en acier.
