For sale is a 1976 Ibanez Artist 2611 in black, the last year of the bolt-on Artist before the set-neck models took over. Made in Japan, neck plate serial D764200 (April 1976).

The 2611 is the original Artist: arched, pressed birch top on a bound mahogany body, bolt-on neck with a bound rosewood fretboard and the pearloid block inlays with black stars that only this generation carried. Two covered Ibanez humbuckers with individual volume and tone and a 3-way toggle, Tune-O-Matic bridge, and the gold vibrato tailpiece that defines the 2611 (the 2612 was the same guitar without it). Gold star tuners on the back. Plays and works as it should.
